Rippikoulu: Ulvaja mCD/mLP
The entities behind the cult act Rippikoulu, known for their 1993
tape release Musta seremonia, have been silently lurking in the shadows
for the past 21 years. Then, on a particularly cold winter's day in
early 2014, a shipment bearing the group's emblem is mysteriously
delivered to the Svart bunker, and inside the parcel there is a master
tape. The contents reveal an entirely new recording, titled Ulvaja. To
be released on Friday the 13th in June, Ulvaja oozes the kind of dark
despair and negative energy, which is enough to drive the sun out of the
skies on any summer's day.

Rippikoulu: Musta Seremonia CD/LP
Rippikoulu's Musta seremonia is both an international cult item and
an integral part of the history of Svart Records as well - a reissue of
the original 1993 tape was one of the earliest Svart releases back in
2010. Back then, this album was considered as one of the best kept
secrets in the Finnish underground metal scene. Four years and one
quickly sold out reissue later Rippikoulu's greatness is no longer a
secret, and we are happy to bring Musta seremonia back on the market.

Funeral Doom Masters, Profetus. Released by Svart Records on LP &

crushing Doom Metal, drawing inspiration from the down-hearted side of
the Scandinavian mind and Finnish nature in all of its beauty, soulful

A long-awaited reissue among us Finns, the name Maarit may not ring
any bells with foreign people but even though this is is a pop record

consists of Wigwam members and Dave Lindholm.

Vaurio: Huuto yöstä LP
300 x black
200 x transparent grey
Vaurio
are one of the unsung classics of the Finnish hardcore punk scene of
the early 80s. Musically a cross between the more melodic punk leanings
of LAMA and -82 hardcore, Vaurio's sole album from 1984 was supposed to
be on the semi-legendary Propaganda Records label, but eventually it was
only released as "A Shout From The Night", licensed by the notorious
German label Rock-a-rama. The Svart reissue is an attempt to reconstruct
what a Finnish release might have looked like, which is why the
translated album title is swapped for the original Finnish one. With
artwork expanded to gatefold, the album comes with more photos and
lengthy liner notes in a separate booklet.

1981: Anthems for Doomed Youth LP - Singles and EPs
The
aptly named 1981 hail from modern-day southwestern Finland but might as
well be a well hidden gem from the post punk scene of the early 80s.
The band consider themselves as part of the same canon as anarchist new
wave/post punk classics such as Chumbawamba, The Zounds, The Mob, Crass
and Flux of Pink Indians.
http://i98i.bandcamp.com/
This
limited LP compiles all 1981's seven inches on one disc, from the
Faster and Forward 7" EP (2010) to Solutions/Dancing 7" (2014) it's all
here in one nifty package! Comes with a 16 page lyric booklet and a
graffiti stencil.

Wigwam: Being 2LP
Considered by many as Wigwam's most ambitious work, Being was
originally released in 1974. The album was partially remixed and
remastered in 2001, and this latter version is considered superior by
the group's mastermind behind the album concept, Jukka Gustavson. When
we at Svart began planning the Being reissue, we were faced with the
problem of whether to base the vinyl on the original version or the 2001
version, both somewhat different from each other. Eventually we decided
to expand the album to a double vinyl, with the 1st LP being as close
to the 1974 version as possible, and the 2nd LP presenting the 2001
edition on vinyl for the first time.

Tasavallan Presidentti: II LP
Undoubtedly the rarest item in Tasavallan Presidentti's discography
is the 2nd album. Released by EMI Sweden in 1971, the album followed
hot on the heels of the first, also untitled album which came out on
Love Records in late 1969. The band returned to Love Records for 1972's
classic album Lambertland, with an updated lineup, and the Swedish album
remained an oddity which wasn't reissued in any format until 30 years
later when it appeared on CD. The Svart reissue of this criminally
underrated early prog rock gem comes wrapped in a gatefold jacket, which
features all lyrics, liner notes and unseen photos. Available on
standard black and limited brown wax.
