[news] Thrash Metal Youngsters DARK VOID Announce Debut six-track EP

Cypriot thrash metallers DARK VOID announce their debut (self-released) EP, titled “Release the Kraken” on April 3^rd.

Calling themselves as “Badass Thrash” and describing their influences “from Slayer to Vivaldi”, DARK VOID are indeed a force to be reckoned with, despite their young age. Listening to their massive thrash sound one would find it hard to believe that the band members' average age is just 17!

Formed in late 2013 as a group of friends getting together just to have fun by playing some of their favourite classic thrash metal songs, they soon after decided to take things a bit more seriously. In the Spring of 2014 the band recorded a demo which secured them an opening slot for the June 2014 SEPULTURA concert in Cyprus and since then DARK VOID have been on an endless ride gaining tremendous momentum and establishing a strong fan base with one gig after another. Parallel to this ride, they also worked on their debut EP, which is now finally ready to be unleashed.

“Release the Kraken” will be directly available from the band on CD in a limited pressing and the band will be presenting it live on release date at Rock City Bar in Nicosia, Cyprus. The EP which features six tracks, was recorded at Soundwave Studios and it was mastered by Colm O'Rourke. The amazing cover artwork was created by Remedy Art Design.
