[news] HUMILIATION (Malaysia) - Battalion (2014)

Hey!

Who doesn't like Bolt Thrower? No one? Thought so. Humiliation from Malaysia seem greatly influenced by that band. Greatly. :D

HUMILIATION (Malaysia) - Battalion (Death Metal, Deepsend Records, October 14th, 2014)

Humiliation from Malaysia are making the dormant masters of war-derived death metal proud. Very few bands are able to work with that band's sound and somewhat take it forward, keeping it juggernaut-ish and kinetic at the same time, and Humiliation are one of them. There's little to dislike about this album because everything is in the right place and it sounds massive. The band has that chunky old school flavour that everyone loves and is playing around with the riffs while not letting you lose sight of the Bolt Thrower imagery in your mind. It's hard to stay still to this - it urges you to pick up your weapons, guitars, sticks, wives and just go march outside and get grimy and lose a limb or two asap.

DEATH COMES PALE (Denmark) - nouvel album [news]

DEATH COMES PALE (Denmark) - World Grave (Death Metal, September 30th, 2014, Deepsend Records)

MISERICORDIA (Sweden) - Throne of Existence (Black Metal, September 16th, 2014, Deepsend Records) news]

Misericordia (black metal) vient de sortir son deuxième album Throne of Existence via Deepsend Records.

This is a band of a rare calibre. Misericordia knows how to play real black metal - the blistering kind, reminiscent of Marduk, Sammath and 1349, while tempering it with atmosphere and melodies of Dark Funeral and Dissection respectively. This is a very well-rounded release, one that leaves no stone unturned in expressing the art. From start to finish, this album is vicious, carrying an undercurrent of melodies, and is dynamic in its expression. Black metal albums aren't made like this these days. Too much is sacrificed for the sake of cult or commercial appeal. This one satisfies fully.
