Je voulais juste vous rappeler amicalement que ce vendredi 19 juillet, Gore House Productions lancera à Québec, Canada, le nouvel EP "The Fallen Lament" d'Onchocerciasis Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (et oui, c'est un nom long) "The Fallen Lament" sortira également sur CD et cassette le 9 août.

L'EP « The Fallen Lament » combine des sons troublants, chaotiques et apocalyptiques avec un calcul méticuleux. Les paroles sont principalement écrites par le chanteur Jesse Agiomamitis, qui s'inspire d'une myriade de sources, notamment de jeux vidéo, d'animes, de films et d'expériences personnelles écrites de manière énigmatique afin qu'elles puissent s'imprimer d'une manière unique sur chaque auditeur. Le groupe est fortement influencé par Last Days of Humanity, Disentomb et Dehumanizing Itatrian Worship, dont Kiryu Zhang chante en tant qu'invité sur le morceau 4. "Facial Gutting".

Cicatrix a sorti son nouvel album Suffocated Faith via le labal polonais Infernum Media. L'album présente 29 minute de Brutal Death Metal qui ravira les fans de Napalm Death, Terrorizer ou General Surgery. L'album a été enregistré dans le studio du groupe studio Room15 et le guitariste Bartek Trojanowski a paufiné le tout. L'artiste Maciej Kamuda s'est occupé de l'artwork et du contenu du livret comme dans ses réalisations à propos de Virgin Snatch, Parricide, Squash Bowels et autres groupes. 

Avec l'album on peut trouver aussi le t-shirt réalisé par  Maciej Kamuda.

"Prologue To The Apocalypse" works as a complete experience, each song enjoyable with not a torrid, riff-drenched second wasted. Textured riff work is omnipresent; big, meaty chunks and bloody shards are present at every treacherous turn. BLOODSCRIBE may not knock the legends from their lofty pedestals, but the quartet can certainly hold its own. The mutant music of "Prologue To The Apocalypse" is not something that is learned. It is conjured from the soul and shot out through the eye sockets. Eclectic Productions is doing a commendable job unearthing great music from underground extreme metal styles, particularly in death metal and grindcore. Kevlar Skin are a fine revelation. The guys play contemporary death metal that is sufficiently technical but not devoid of hooks and also brutal enough to not sound dated. It's what the style needs - a balance of everything and in the right proportion. Death metal is hardly this well-rounded - more often than not, it falls prey to the school conventions and it's mostly at the expense of something or the other. This is an invigorating band, a fresh of breath air at least in the way the music is executed. Kevlar Skin do everything right by the death metal fan/critic book by offering a tad of innovation, forward-thinking yet old school depth of structuring and not failing to provide us with headbangable or cathartic body-flailing parts every now and then. Top notch brutal and interesting stuff.

The more massive and heavy a star, the faster its death, the darker its ending. These are the basics of astrophysics and INSAIN's debut full-length, "Spiritual Rebirth", was such an over-the-top release in all aspects -production, artwork, brutality, catchiness, musicianship...- it should have been a sign that such an intensity couldn't last for long before turning into its counterpart from the darkside: a supermassive black hole and that's all what "Enlightening the Unknown", the band's legacy recorded back early 2013 which Kaotoxin is very proud to release, is.

No rest for the dead: INSAIN are no more but their legacy will live forever with this new and last release which also marks a step forward for a band that was already head and shoulder above the pack with only a full-length out.

Produced at the 16th Cellar studio (Hour Of Penance, Fleshgod Apocalypse...), "Enlightening the Unknown" adds to the band's brutal basis a denser dose of black matter transforming the laws of gravity into a singularity distorting space and time and attracting everything around bringing all that is darkness to a stellar chaos with the addition of fascinating new solos and captivating dark melodies, a new bass player, Bono, bringing the lower end of the sound spectrum to a whole new level of brutality and musicianship and even an intro and special guest vocals by none other than Daniel Neagoe of Eye Of Solitude and Unfathomable Ruination.

COPROCEPHALIC (International) - The Oath of Relinquishment (Atmospheric Brutal Death Metal, July 31st, 2014, Lacerated Enemy Records)

 

This is a super-band of sorts, with members being from Taiwan as well as US. In addition to members having played in Splattered and Gorepot, the album sees the likes of Angel Ochoa (Disgorge), Matti Way (Pathology), and Jermiah Blue Jensen (Guttural Secrete, Euphegenia) doing guest vocals. This is a different, visceral level of guttural brutality - a notch higher than the standard Disgorge/Devourment or Suffocation/Cannibal Corpse clones. The album is extremely intense and is more convoluted and atmospheric than you'd think - you need balls of steel to withstand this and a powerful brain to comprehend it. This is the next step in Death Metal expression.

The artwork again is something refreshing, done by Sarafin Concepts. This is almost dissonant Brutal Death Metal, while being ridiculously guttural, heavy and crushing at the same time, and there's the eerie atmospheric touches that's pretty much absent in this genre.

Depuis le Canada, Hate Division publie son deuxième album et il est le plus accompli. L'écriture est de qualité supérieure, le riffing est un mélange d'influences techniques ainsi que grindcore, et la brutalité a été retenue juste assez pour faire de la musique puissante et pertinente. Ce n'est pas sans rappeler des groupes comme Origin, Misery Index et Nil - mais présenté dans un mélange impeccable et bien équilibré avec une œuvre d'art à couper le souffle pour démarrer.
