Catharsis est un groupe de technical death metal polonaise qui a deux vies. Dans la première vie il a été fondé en 1992 par le chanteur et bassiste Adam Manok et le guitariste Daniel Petriczkiewicz. Il s’agissait d’une formation à quatre qui a sorti Your Truth et Bitter Disdain (1993 e 1995). Le groupe se met en stand-by en 1996 pour des problèmes liés à la formation. En 2010 le groupe renaît de ses cendres grâce encore à Adam Manok et au guitariste Tomasz Świerz. Des deux on passe à trois avec l’arrivée de Katarzyna “Kate” Bujas comme deuxième voix et guitariste. Le groupe est donc un trio épaulé en studio par le batteur de session Łukasz “Lucass“ Krzesiewicz et on arrive donc à la sortie en 2014 du nouvel album Rhyming Life and Death via le label Mad Lion et cet album est une bombe.
