Subterranean Disposition est une one-man band fondée en 2011 à Melbourne en Australie et guidée par Terry Vainoras. Après le premier album homonyme sorti en 2012 via le label Hypnotic Dirge Records, Subterranean Disposition sort son deuxième album Contagiuum and the Landscapes of Failure encore via Hypnotic Dirge Records / Solitude Productions.

Terry Vainoras a une experience pluridecennale puisque il a collaboré à plusieurs projets comme Cryptic Darkness, The Eternal, Insomnium Dei et fort de ces expériences il a pu créer un style unique. Subterranean Disposition évolue dans un registre de death / doom metal experimental qui incorpore des éléments atypiques comme le saxophone. Terry Vainoras pour cet album a su et a pu s’appuyer sur la collaboration de Dan Nahum (Bleakwood, The Veil, Dead River Runs Dry) à la batterie, Gelareh Pour on Kemancheh, Qeychak comme alto et voix, Daniel Lucas à la voix.

Ainsi Contagiuum and the Landscapes of Failure présente un foisonnement de guitares, de basse et de styles vocaux qui vont du grunt à la voix claire (non je blague !) à une voix plus théâtrale et descriptive. On trouve aussi les cuivres qui apportent une touche de mélancolie supplémentaire.

Contagiuum and the Landscapes of Failure a été enregistré, mixé et masterisé par Adam Calaitzis au Toyland studio à Melbourne en Australia, l’artwork a été réalisé par l’artiste newyorkais Coby O’Brien (qui a d’ailleurs réalisé les pochettes pour les anthologies de Hypntoic Dirge Records.

On recommande l’écoute aux amateurs de metal extrême et expérimental ainsi quà tous les amoureux de bonne musique.

Premiered exclusively at No Clean Singing and even TOmetal.com, this one is everyone's favourite. Doom-Metal.com gave it a perfect rating of 10/10, summing up the release with these words - "it's a completely top-notch album and emphatically the first to make my 'best of 2016' contenders list... Experimental doom metal band from UK, Camel of Doom, release their latest album on the ever-great doom label Solitude Productions, and as always, the quality is standard-setting. Unlike the expected atmospheric/funeral doom of the highest quality, for a change, Camel of Doom here play a weird but not unsettling kind of doom that's refreshing to hear - it has a spacey quality to the whole thing, a touch of vast ambiance, progressive experimentation and seamless passages stretching out into eternity. This has elements of sludge, dark ambient, a bit of stoner and even atmospheric doom. The album is a foray into the unplumbed depths of space, a unique excursion that leaves you writhing for answers, for embedded in its drawn-out histrionics are epiphanies the genre could benefit from. Camel of Doom are a revelation, a band that aren't content with merely mimicking others; they are out to change the perception, to do something beyond what is conceived to be possible, much like a trip to outer space.
