Voidchaser - nouvel album et vidéo

Voidchaser - intersetellar 1

Montréal (QC) / Stockholm (SE) – Voidchaser, groupe international de metal progressif, a dévoilé le clip de « Welcome to Terra Corp », premier single extrait de son prochain album concept, Interstellar I.

À découvrir ici : youtu.be/KMk06ZmBFc0

[news] Novareign - "Legends" release date + song premiere!

M-Theory Audio sets February 16th, 2018 as official release date for Novareign long-awaited debut album "Legends"! Progressive Power Metal from Southern California! First track from album premiere launched now!

https://youtu.be/ApQPRf2lOBM

Pre-orders launched - https://www.m-theoryaudio.com/store !

For those in the know, Southern California’s Novareign have been steadily and surely building a buzz and reputation for themselves in recent years. The group has become a fixture with energy-abounding live shows filled with nonstop shredding guitar interplay and powerful traditional metal vocals. Having honed their attack and lineup, the band are now ready to march forth internationally Feb. 16th with their debut full-length, Legends, an hour-plus of shred-tastic, over-the-top, epic power and progressive metal.
Metal Assault defined Novareign as “nothing short of supremely impressive… [they] appear to have all the ingredients to carry the torch for years to come.” Influenced by bands like Iron Maiden and Dream Theater to Dragonforce and Angra, this is the new age of Progressive Power Metal telling stories in musical literature speaking to a generation influenced by epic fantasy tales, comic books and video games. Showcasing these qualities is the first emphasis track and already a fan-favorite, “Beyond the Cold”. LISTEN NOW :

“The reason the song was chosen first was because it’s a perfect example of our accumulative taste and talents, tailored into a traditionally structured piece,” explains guitarist Danny Nobel. “The song uses clean vocals featuring harmonies, an odd time signature breakdown and shredding guitar solos with a climactic hook. These are elements in music that are featured throughout the album but are all present within the one song. ‘Beyond the Cold’ should do well in getting a listener prepared for the rest as it gives them a good idea what they're in for.”

Legends will be released on CD and digitally and is already available for pre-order from the label’s WEBSHOP : https://www.m-theoryaudio.com/store

“The art was based off an idea I had pitched to have giant statues of god-like figures in an astral plain,” explains Danny. “Our bassist, Moises, took the idea and created the drawings you’ve seen so far. The characters are all based on warriors and mythical beings, which represent themes of courage, heroism, strength and virtue. These are characteristics and themes of the overall album. That along with a cosmic decor.”

Recently Novareign was a finalist in the battle to get a spot on this year’s Knotfest Meets Ozzfest, and in January they will support White Wizzard on a run of U.S. dates.

UPCOMING LIVE SHOWS:
12/16 Winterfest @ Malone’s – Santa Ana, CA w/ Holy Grail & Thrown Into Exile

12/31 Five Star Bar – Los Angeles, CA

1/11 Brick By Brick – San Diego, CA w/ White Wizzard

About:

Brazil is the largest Latin-American country in both population and area. Brazil spreads out over almost half the continent of South America and has more people than all the other South American countries combined. Brazil is the world’s fifth largest country, only Canada, Russia, China and the United States are larger.

With such a great abundance of people; it is no surprise Brazil produces thoughtful, inspiring and innovative metal, such as the mighty NOTURNALL!

Inspired by Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Pantera, Metallica and Alice In Chain, NOTURNALL describe their music as ‘prog thrash’.

This highly experienced group of dedicated musicians are about to release their new album entitled ‘9’ in North America on January 19th, 2018 via Rockshots Records to follow its European release on October 27, 2017. As befits a band who have walked in the footsteps of metal legends Iron Maiden, playing Rock in Rio, NOTRUNALL are much loved in their home country, and soon worldwide!

The follow-up to ‘Noturnall’ and ‘Back To Fuck You Up’; ‘9’ features a guest appearance from no less a metal luminary than Adrenaline Mob’s Mike Orlando!

NOTURNALL’s unique singer Thiago Bianchi explains that the band grew from a previous band called Shaman (orginally founded by ex-Angra vocalist Andrè Matos), and that it stands for ‘No Turn At All’ as it was destiny that drove them to become NOTURNALL. Lyrically and musically they mine the deep wellspring of the mysterious universe we live in.

Thiago wants all listeners to ‘embrace the new, open your hearts to the new…We’re just making good music and we hope it will find its way to those with good hearts to appreciate it!”

Live, NOTURNALL are a memorable experience, with their ‘Freakshow’ concept, which features all manner of zombies interacting with the audiences. ‘Walking Dead’ fans take note!

Thiago is stoked for fans to hear their new album, backed by a video clip for each track. “Each record has its own personality, its own vibe…we’re exploring and each time it’s getting deeper and deeper!”

[news] The Dead Centuries - new album and new song stream

THE DEAD CENTURIES Premiere "Attack of The Mutant" via PureGrainAudio; Debut Album Out Jan 26

For fans of Animals As Leaders, Scale The Summit, Protest the Hero, Periphery, Intervals

Instrumental Prog Metal THE DEAD CENTURIES Premiere "Attack of The Mutant" via PureGrainAudio

Debut Album "Race Against Time" Out Jan 26th, 2018

Visionary and highly influential writer Michael Moorcock, who worked with the bands Hawkwind and Blue Oyster Cult, memorably stated that ‘it is the business of the future to be dangerous’.

Ottawa three-piece THE DEAD CENTURIES are both futuristic and dangerous…which is as it should be. Influenced by Protest The Hero, Periphery, Paul Gilbert, Sithu Aye and Intervals, THE DEAD CENTURIES can easily hold their heads up in such exalted company.

Composing and performing technically precise instrumental progressive metal, THE DEAD CENTURIES are rich in virtuosity, melody, compositional skills, and most importantly...they create superb music to listen to. This isn’t the sound of three musicians showing off their undoubted skills, rather they are serving their songs above all else, with every fibre of their beings, every neuron firing in their minds, every tendon in their bodies. In a sense it is as if the three musicians that make up THE DEAD CENTURIES have become one mind in their own music.

Set to unleash their debut album "Race Against Time" on January 26th, 2018, the full length features ten tracks of melodic, high energy and refreshing material. Full of hook and sinker tracks, shining guitar riffs and overall escapades through their instrumental progressive metal has to offer.

Guitarist Adam Tremblett comments:
"The album title “Race Against Time” is loosely representative of the experience writing, recording, and preparing the collection of songs. Throughout the process there have been band member changes, last minute rewrites, and several other testing circumstances. These have only served to further determine The Dead Centuries to release a high quality release that truly represents the band as a whole."

Teaming up with PureGrainAudio, the trio premiere their second single "Attack of The Mutant" that features a guest guitar solo from Jeff Tremblett, brother of TDC guitarist Adam Tremblett.

Adam Tremblett adds:
“'Attack of the Mutant' is the heaviest song of the album thus far, using down tuned guitar and bass along with dissonant harmony to give the feeling of tension throughout the introduction. This tension is then resolved by a melodic, upbeat chorus which leads into another heavy section, followed by a guitar solo, and the album’s first guest solo. The song ends with several heavy parts, with the final section building into an extremely dissonant broken 'computer' sounding part.”

Hesperion - Живим... / Who Alive... (2017)

Hesperion - Живим... / Who Alive... (2017)

Total Metal Records

Line-up actuel: Gulnara Asanova - claviers; Vitaliy Petrenko - batterie; Oleg "Gera" Gerasko - basse, voix; Andriy "Andrik" Yaremenko - guitare; Vitaliy Kozubov - voix.

Guardian of Homeland clôt l’album de bonne façon.

Score 8,5/10

[news] Kenn Nardi - Dancing With The Past (2 CD - 2014)

Kenn Nardi - Dancing With The Past (2 CD - 2014) - Tribunal Records

OVERVIEW:
As the guitarist/vocalist/producer and chief writer, arranger and lyricist of Anacrusis from 1986-1993, KENN NARDI was widely recognized as one of heavy metal’s most forward-thinking musical minds. After releasing four albums between 1998 and 1993 with Anacrusis, KENN NARDI went the solo route under the Cruel April moniker in 2006, weaving acoustically-driven material that was free of any genre expectations looming over his head.

On his new album, Dancing With The Past, KENN NARDI has brought together all of the signature elements of Anacrusis’ sound, and melded them with the more streamlined songwriting approach of Cruel April. The result is a 2-CD collection featuring 28 brand new recordings of songs written as far back as 1994. The collection also features material borne from collaborations with KENN NARDI’s former Anacrusis band mates during their 2009-2012 reunion run. Clocking in at over 2 1/2 hours, Dancing With The Past keeps true to the avant-garde spirit that made KENN NARDI’s songwriting and his former band so thrilling while pushing the songwriting and compositional boundaries even further. Quite simply, Dancing With The Past promises to be the album Anacrusis fans have waiting for only full of surprises they never expected.
