FIRMAMENT – For Centuries Alive LP/CD nouvel album
DVP 342 FIRMAMENT – For Centuries Alive LP/CD

|news] [ICYMI] Buck Tow Truck - new album
Buck Tow Truck - Death Wields A Six String
Genre: Power Metal/ Hard rock

Buck Tow Truck is a one-man band from Woodstock, Ontario, Canada, founded by Andrew Dona. Dona's influences are "Van Halen," "Dokken" (more specifically George Lynch) and "Bathory." To him, man words have 2 syllables such as shotgun or tow-truck. While saying these words be sure to pump one's fist forward and back in a horizontal line as if cocking a shotgun, as George did.

About:
The Raz is a 4-piece Rock band out of Columbia SC. The band is composed of 4 individuals from 4 different decades who love music, and more importantly, love to play music together. As The Raz, they bring their diverse backgrounds together and make it into what they like to call Raz-N-Roll.
With Nick Meehan on Guitar, David Scott McBee on Vocals, Adam Shealy on Drums and Dale Raszewski (“Raz”) on Bass.
The Raz was formed in the spring of 2016 by Raz and Nick Meehan when they met at Guitar Center in Columbia, SC where Raz was working. They got together at Nick’s house, jammed, and wrote 2 songs that first night. Soon after they recruited another Guitar Center employee by the name Andrew Bowers to play drums. They started thinking of names and Nick said why don't we call the band "THE RAZ"?
So they started playing as a power trio. Soon Raz realized they needed a better singer, so David Scott McBee was asked to join the band. Soon after David joined the band, Andrew left, and the search for a drummer was on. The very first drummer to audition was Adam Shealy, and they offered him the job… and the rest is Raztory.
I love “The Raz” bluesier direction… the band sounds real tight.. Great songs and singer!” Rudy Sarzo (Ozzy, Dio, Whitesnake)
“…the band is jamming and the vocals are killer, great stuff!” Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal

[news] The Obelisk Premieres New BLACK SPACE RIDERS song "Lovely Lovelie"
German Riffonauts BLACK SPACE RIDERS have partnered with The Obelisk for the premiere of "Lovely Lovelie," a song from forthcoming new album Amoretum Vol. 1.
Check it out at this location : http://theobelisk.net/obelisk/2018/01/05/black-space-riders-amoretum-vol-1-review-premiere/
Amoretum Vol. 1 will be released on vinyl, CD, and digital formats on January 26. The single can be purchased and the album pre-ordered on all digital platforms, including Bandcamp, as well as at the band shop: www.blackspaceriders.com/shop
The band previously released the official video for "Another Sort of Homecoming." Dive in at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYfDjtId4-k&feature=youtu.be
The internationally acclaimed predecessor Refugeeum brought BLACK SPACE RIDERS renown with its mixture of thoughtful, sensitive themes and hard, atmospheric rock. Two years have passed since then, two years in which the world has not necessarily become a better place in the eyes of most people.
War, terror, displacement, destruction, rejection and nationalism dominate the headlines. Or, as a wise little green fellow once said: "Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering."
"All you need is love", countered the BEATLES in 1967. The response of BLACK SPACE RIDERS in 2018 is Amoretum, a made-up word comprising "amor" and "arboretum" to symbolize a protective garden and a germ seed of love. And so the new song cycle of BLACK SPACE RIDERS is all about the conflict between fear-hate-rejection-darkness on the one hand, and love-empathy-care-light on the other. For, how else should we overcome hate, if not with love?
Musically, this conflict is consistently put into practice by a band that beats its own path and is constantly developing. The electronic experiments of the Beyond Regugeeum EP of 2016 have been reduced sonically and cleverly integrated into the powerfully sounding songs. Between fat, dirty riffs and trippy delays, everything that sounds good is allowed; the album is interspersed with a flowing groove throughout and an ever-present atmosphere that embraces the listener. Heavy, sometimes proggy, often psychedelic, always engaging and almost catchy and danceable, Amoretum Vol. 1 takes us by the hand, shows us the dark side, and then wants to give us the hope back that we so often painfully miss.
The album flows from song to song as if from a single cast. The listener wonders after 45 minutes whether everything is really already over, and wants to go back to the beginning again immediately.
But of course everything is not over after 45 minutes in the world of BLACK SPACE RIDERS. The band also announces a second chapter for 2018 ... Amoretum Vol. 2 is waiting for us, while we are looking forward to Amoretum Vol 1.
"It's everything you want in an album and more. Black Space Riders will garner many new fans with this release and you should definitely be among them."
- This is Not a Scene
"Their level of performance and craft all along has never been made plainer to see than it is here, and if that's an expression of love as the band knows it, then it's little wonder their output holds such resonance."
- The Obelisk
"Never failing to deliver their gift of musical artistry... I would definitely recommend this group to anyone who enjoys the alternative, hard rock sound."
- Patchchord News

SMYTE - Paradise Lost (Digital Single 2016)
Metal Scrap Records
The single was created in the wake of the impressions of Metal music of the 1980’s with the notable inclusions of Modern Metal. A huge influence on writing of the song had Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack, and Paradise Lost!
Metal Scrap Records, 2016 (MSR130/DT).
Biography:
http://metalscraprecords.com
All I ever wanted was just home
I was an aimless strider with no place
Never welcome, I was doomed to roam
Forced to pay for the deeds I have not done.
Yet my boat's not strong enough
and waves getting just more rough.
Taking a lie and my head I lay.
[Chorus]
When the morning comes I'll sail away
Leaving to places I just don't belong
Looking for my golden coast
Yet I'm a stranger in the Paradise Lost.
[Verse]
Can't believe I have my shelter found
In the land where no one knows my name (yeah)
But my walls are still to weak
And the help is what I seek
Taking a lie and my head I lay.
[Chorus x3]
