Poemisia est un groupe italien de "symphonic/grotesque metal" fondée en 2011. A coté d'une solide base metal le groupe utilise aussi des éléments symphoniques et liés au monde de l'opéra. Ceci en vue de présenter le dualisme ombre et lumière, vie et mort, enfer et paradis. En live le groupe a participé au Magna Grecia Metal Fest, au Woodstock in Naples, avec Blaze Bayley ex Iron Maiden, à l'Agglutination Metal Fest con   Dark Tranquillity,   Rhapsody of Fire,   Rotting Christ. Le groupe a publié son premier EP l’Occulto Desìo avec quatre titres à la clé. Le premier album sortira le 31 octobre 2013 et se nomme La Danza degli Spiriti (une des chanson compte la présence de Sakis Tolis , frontman chanteur de Rotting Christ). En rangeant mes affaires je suis tombé par hasard sur ce live Run with the Devil - Part 2 de Metallica que j'avais dévoré lors de sa sortie. Et c'est avec plaisir que je l'ai réécouté. Il n'y a pas de date et j'étais bien plus jeune quand je l'ai acheté. En tout cas il s'agit de la tourné de Metallica pour promouvoir l'album And justice for all donc on peut dater l'album entre 1998 et 1990 puisque l'album éponyme sort en 1991. Le label est italien et se nomme New Keruac Line , le cd est dans un boîtier en métal dont l'artwork est très soigné (et même c'était une raison de mon achat). Le cd est aussi en édition limité avec un certificat mais j'ai perdu le mien. Dans mes souvenir il y avait à l'époque un présentoir dans le magasin de disques où j'allais avec le logo de la New Keruac Line et ses cd empilés les uns sur les autres. Donc ceci n'avait pas

Cover art by Yori Ivanova Abstraction est un groupe de metal progressif avec des tendances power qui vient de Bulgarie. Le combo est actif depuis 2009 sous le nom de Chronology et il exécutait surtout des reprises. Depuis le groupe a mûri, changé de nom et sort ce premier single Wolf pendant qu'il s’attelle à l'écriture du premier album. Dans ce single il y a du très bon et du moins bon, mais le résultat est fort sympathique et digne d'être écouté. D'abord le titre Wolf est vraiment une très belle réussite: il est varié, aéré, avec des moments plus 'metal' et des breaks plutôt atmosphériques mis en valeur par la guitare acoustique. La voix de Mladen Medarov alterne des moments chantés à des moments où il déclare le texte. On dirait un conteur de jadis qui autour du feu nous conte les histoires des loups. Ce coté théâtrale (chœurs, flûte, guitare acoustique, voix qui chuchote et déclamatoire à la fois) est particulièrement plaisant et met vraiment en

Les russes de Sunwalter ont mis en ligne en streaming et en téléchargement gratuit le single Forbidden Sun . Le groupe évolue dans un registre de metal extrême rendu plus accessible par le chant clair de la chanteuse Shikhandi qui se fraie un chemin parmi le chant "harsh" de Alexio. Dans l'ensemble ce single est plutôt intéressant. Le premier titre "Forbidden Sun" parle de la place que chacun a dans ce monde et même face aux adversités il invite à jamais lâcher prise et à suivre sa propre voie. Ce titre qui comporte un riff plutôt en mid tempo est rehaussé par un break plus extrême où la double pédale et la voix 'harsh' donnent une connotation plus forte et violente à l'ensemble. Le deuxième titre est la cover de E.T. un morceau de Katy Perry. Là résultat est bluffant : les deux voix sont parfaites et l'aspect metal du titre le rend accrocheur à souhait. Voici les détails: In 2006 the keyboarder, arranger and composer Gerald Peter produced the demo record „Closing Doors“ with which his vision of a progressive rock-concept album and musical was born. With „Closing Doors“ as his point of departure he has been working on the concept-album “Jeremias - Foreshadow of Forgotten Realms“ since 2008. In 2010 he met the singer and writer Taris Brown with whom he worked on a solid story. A year later, in 2011, he founded the band “Circle of Illusion” with top musicians in order to perform his opus live and to finish the recordings of the album.
